Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to us. Learn how we collect, use, and protect your data.

1. Information collected

We collect information you provide directly when creating an account (name, email, password), as well as data generated by your use of the platform (flashcards created, review history, study performance). We also collect technical data such as IP address, browser type, and operating system for security and diagnostic purposes.

2. How we use your information

We use your data to provide and improve Memoize services, personalize your learning experience, send account-related communications (confirmations, password resets), and analyze platform usage in aggregate to improve features.

3. Data security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Passwords are stored using cryptographic hashing and never in plain text. We use encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) throughout the platform.

4. Third-party sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for commercial purposes. We may share data with essential service providers (cloud infrastructure, error analysis) acting on our behalf who are subject to confidentiality obligations consistent with this policy.

5. Data retention

We retain your data while your account is active or for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy. After account closure, personal data is deleted within 90 days, except where mandatory retention is required by law.

6. Your rights

Under applicable data protection law, you have the right to access, correct, port, and request deletion of your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacidade@memoize.cards. We will respond to requests within 15 business days.

7. Children's privacy

Memoize is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we identify that an account was created by a child without parental consent, we will immediately delete the associated data.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through a prominent notice on the platform. Continued use of Memoize after notification constitutes acceptance of the changes.
